I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for supporting women to nurture themselves and their families. A personal understanding of the feeding difficulties many women experience led me to change career direction, to focus on Women’s Health and Infant Nutrition and Feeding.
I qualified as a Breastfeeding Counsellor (Certificate IV Breastfeeding Education (Counselling), Australian Breastfeeding Association), and supported women on the National Breastfeeding Helpline. Desire to know more led me to qualify as a Lactation Consultant and complete the Certificate of Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics (The Royal Children’s Hospital). I bring a wealth of clinical nutrition experience and unique understanding gained from working with Melbourne’s most critically ill patients at The Alfred Hospital for over a decade.
Nutrition is an important part of planning for a thriving family and helps to lay the foundation for a healthy mother and baby. Research shows that nutrition and feeding during the first one thousand days of an infant’s life are integral to their future health and reduce risk of chronic disease.
I understand the challenges involved with feeding a growing family. My goal is to provide holistic and sustainable nutrition and feeding advice to nurture your family throughout the spectrum of pre-conception, pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond, always with warmth and empathy. I would love the privilege to help your family to glow, grow or nurture.
