Philosophy

"Because it takes a village"

At its core NEST is a multidisciplinary health service that helps new, expecting, and prospective parents make a smooth transition to parenthood.

Leveraging off the old adage “It takes a village to raise a child“ our goal is for NEST to be an unparalleled centre of excellence in perinatal care and the health of your family. This essence is embodied in the acronym NEST – Nurturing and Enhancing Smooth Transitions, recognising that both becoming a family and raising a family is a complicated transition that often requires support from a physical health perspective as well as from an emotional one.

Background

"One service, One location, One priority, you!"

NEST was conceived by cofounders Dr Sam Margis and Dr Fran Arcuri one wet winter Melbourne day over a warm cup of coffee.

Both having young families themselves and having worked for some years helping other young families with this at times challenging transition, Sam and Fran were frustrated. Existing services were impersonal, fragmented, limited, and often inaccessible in nature, so they decided to set up a whole new approach to family wellness.

The solution was a clinic that brings together a wide range of services under the one roof, making it easier for families to access more connected, more efficient, more effective, and more available care and support.

The result of Sam’s and Fran’s vision is a ground-breaking approach to unwavering care for your number one priority - you and your family. NEST offers a full range of quality clinical services delivered by a team of qualified consultants at a warm and welcoming clinic in Elsternwick as well as in your home.
