Professional Background/Experience:
Delyse is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her undergraduate studies at Monash University and her Doctorate and Masters in Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University. She specialises in perinatal psychology including pregnancy, birth and postnatal adjustment, with a special interest in infant attachment. She has experience in the treatment of mental health and behavioural disorders in children, adolescents and adults and has worked across a range of clinical settings including hospital services, child and family health, and private practice. Delyse is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and serves on numerous professional boards and committees. Delyse also conducts research on the development and prevention of mental health and behavioural disorders at the Centre for Social and Early Emotional Development at Deakin University, with honorary research positions at the Murdoch Childrens Research Centre at the Melbourne Royal Childrens Hospital; the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne; and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
 
Professional interests:
Delyse has a special interest in working with parents during the transition to parenthood. She also enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults and has experience in treating a range of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, eating and body image related issues, as well as difficulties related to life changes, grief and loss, and self-esteem. Delyse uses a range of therapeutic modalities to meet the needs of each individual client including supportive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural and schema based therapies, psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy, mindfulness techniques, and attachment-based therapies.
