Professional Background/Experience:
Lena is a registered psychologist who has completed further postgraduate training in psychotherapy, counselling, and coaching. She is experienced in the assessment and treatment of individuals with psychological disorders, counselling people through personal and work-related challenges, and coaching people towards their life goals. 

Lena has worked in various corporate and mental health settings in both the public and private sectors including federal and state government agencies, community health settings, employment services, occupational rehabilitation, employee assistance programs (EAP), and private practice.

Lena has experience in management, training, recruitment, and consulting roles and understands the specific challenges of workers in different industries whether they are working in blue-collar jobs as a small business owner or in executive level jobs in global corporations. 

Lena has two children and knows how difficult and overwhelming life can be for today’s mothers who are in multiple roles and constantly juggling multiple demands.

Lena is also a Board-Approved Supervisor who can supervise provisional psychologists training to become registered psychologists.

Professional Interests: 
While Lena works with a broad range of clients and presenting issues, she is particularly interested in helping clients with depression (including perinatal depression), anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, self-identity conflicts, career and life transitions (including transition to parenthood), relationship difficulties, and parenting concerns (including parenting highly sensitive children). She also has an interest in working with people from diverse cultures and understands the unique issues facing individuals from a non-Australian background. 

Lena works with adults and older adolescents.

Underpinning Lena’s approach to therapy is her belief that all of us yearn to be understood and will thrive when living in accordance with our core values. Lena enjoys helping her clients identify what is most important to them and then taking action to effect positive life changes.
