Nicole Bando

Nicole is a specialist Paediatric & Family Dietitian and Lactation Consultant, with a passion for supporting women to nurture themselves and their families. A personal understanding of feeding difficulties many women experience led her to pursue further study and a career in family nutrition and feeding.

She certified as a Breastfeeding Counsellor (Australian Breastfeeding Association) and supported women on the National Breastfeeding Helpline. She completed further study to certify as an International Board Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), alongside additional paediatric nutrition training. Nicole brings a wealth of unique clinical nutrition experience from working with Melbourne’s most critically ill patients at The Alfred Hospital for over 15 years, and private practice for 8 years. 

Nutrition is a vital part of planning for a thriving family and helps to lay the foundation for a healthy mother and baby. Research shows that nutrition and feeding during the first one thousand days of an infant’s life are integral to their future health and risk of chronic disease.
