Professional Background/Experience:
Ruby is a registered psychologist who has experience working in both private and public mental health settings. She completed her Master of Psychology at Massey University in New Zealand in 2016, and completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at Swinburne University. 

Professional Interests: 
Ruby works from a person-centred approach, placing great value on the development of a strong therapeutic relationship and working collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals in therapy and improve their overall psychological wellbeing. 
Ruby has worked in a wide range of clinical settings including working as a psychologist at Ramsay Clinic in Albert Road, child and family services, community health clinics, and not-for-profit organisations.
 
She has a special interest in working with individuals who have had experiences of trauma, as well as, treating individuals with anxiety and depression (e.g. in the perinatal period), difficulties with adjusting to life changes and transitions, such as transitions to parenthood, stress and burnout, low self-esteem, communication difficulties, grief and loss. 
 
Ruby adopts a curious, open minded and non-judgemental approach to therapy, delivered in a culturally sensitive manner, relying on using a range of evidence-based strategies and therapeutic modalities including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-informed and compassion-based approaches.
