Professional background:
Sandi completed her medical degree at Monash University in 2006. During her hospital training, she worked throughout the Southern Health (Monash) hospital network and focused on rotations in emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology before specialising in General Practice. She spent some of her training enjoying working in rural and regional areas and gaining further experience at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre.

Professional interests: 
Sandi enjoys the broad scope of general practice and helping patients to stay well and focus on preventative health care. She has an interest in sexual health issues including STI diagnosis and management and vulval health issues. She enjoys working with women around preconception, pregnancy and the postnatal period and also has special interest in the health issues facing children, adolescents and LGBTIQA+ patients. Sandi is interested in and understanding of the complex determinants affecting an individual's health and wellbeing.

Personal interests outside of work:
Sandi has two young children and two old dogs and enjoys exploring the outdoors with them, whether camping in their old orange kombi, exploring the coastline, riding their bikes or just pottering at the park. She loves live music and performances and sharing good food with friends. When she gets a moment to herself she loves swimming in the bay.
