Professional Background/Experience:
Almaas completed her Masters of Psychology at Monash University. She specialises in adults and adolescent psychology. Almaas has worked in private practice, public and private mental health settings. Almaas is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI).

Professional Interests: 
Almaas works with adults and adolescents (aged 14 and older) and has a special interest in supporting clients with personality disorders, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. She also sees clients experiencing post natal depression, relationship problems, low self-esteem/confidence, and body image issues. 

Almaas practices psychotherapy, incorporating principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. 

Almaas adopts a person-centred approach, practices trauma-informed care, and is passionate about supporting clients to understand their inner worlds.
